# Data analysis & visualization

> Hand Fig your numbers and get back insights, summaries, and charts.

Got a spreadsheet of numbers you don't have time to dig through? Fig can analyze
your data, find what stands out, and turn it into clear charts and summaries.

## Quick start

Share a spreadsheet or paste your data, then tell Fig what you're trying to learn:

```text theme={null}
Here are my last six months of sales. What's the trend, and which products are
growing fastest? Make me a chart.
```

```text theme={null}
Look at this customer feedback spreadsheet and summarize the most common complaints.
```

## What Fig can do

* **Crunch the numbers** — totals, trends, comparisons, and breakdowns.
* **Spot what matters** — call out what's growing, slipping, or unusual.
* **Visualize it** — produce charts and graphs that make the story obvious.
* **Summarize it** — explain the findings in plain language you can act on or share.

You can also [connect a spreadsheet](/integrations/connected-apps) so Fig works
from your live data instead of a one-time upload.

<Tip>
  Tell Fig the decision behind the question — "I'm deciding what to restock" —
  and it will tailor the analysis to what you actually need to know.
</Tip>

<Info>
  Whatever Fig produces — charts, summaries, reports — is saved to your
  [Library](/features/library) to revisit or share.
